Tris Speaker, is a member of the National Baseball Hall of Fame but remains almost an unknown player. He finished his career with over 3,500 hits, a life time .345 batting average and still holds the all time MLB record for the most career doubles. Not known for his power, Tris Speaker is baseball's premier contact hitter striking out only 220 times in his career! Tris Speaker had no equal when it came to playing the field. His ability to play shallow and go back to catch a fly ball is legend. Speaker played during the great iconic time of baseball when the likes of Ty Cobb,
and Babe Ruth.
